The Redwoods Treehouse, which is located near Auckland, was built in 2008 and designed by Peter Eising. It was originally designed for a Yellow Pages campaign in 2008, but is now a private venue for hire and is no longer a restaurant

 

The Sustainability Treehouse in West Virgina was opened in 2013 and was designed by Mithun Architects. The treehouse sits at the edge of the Appalachian forest within the 10,600 acres of the Summit Bechtel Reserve, and serves as a centre for the Boy Scouts of America

 

A Cocoon Tree Bed hanging from the branches is pictured in France. You can assemble the intimate contraption in less than two hours or have it done by a team of professionals and under the watchful eye of founder and creative director Berni Du Payrat. Berni has been working on the project for two years and launched it at Maison & Objet in September 2012

 

The exterior of the 4treehouse wraps around four of the trees creating a cocoon like structure and earning it its name

 

The Ministers Treehouse - or the biggest treehouse in the world - in Crossville, Tennessee, was built by Horace Burgess and is a private residence

Pictured: The Mirror Cube room from Treehotel in Harads, Sweden. The box was built in 2010 and designed by Bolle Tham and Martin Videgrd. It's made of a lightweight aluminium structure hung around a tree trunk, and covered in mirrored glass. The glass allows the room to be camouflaged in its surroundings. The mirror cube is constructed so that you have a 360 degree view from the room
